Aashay holds a Bachelor Of Legal Science (BLS) And Bachelor Of Law (LLB) from Government Law College, Mumbai, affiliated with the University of Mumbai—one of India’s most prestigious law schools. His legal training is further strengthened by specialized Canadian qualifications, including an Immigration Law Graduate Certificate from CDI College and a Paralegal Studies Graduate Certificate from Centennial College, Toronto.

Aashay’s foundation in law was built through extensive practice in India’s Legal System, where he spent over four years at Joy Legal Consultants in Mumbai, progressing from Articled Law Student to Junior Associate. His Indian legal practice encompassed:

Corporate & Commercial Litigation: Conducted extensive research into case law, statutes, and regulations while drafting legal memos, court documents, and filings for senior lawyers. Meticulously drafted and researched Corporate Defense, Corporate Restructuring, And Acquisition Strategies for one of India’s largest pharmaceutical companies and its three subsidiaries.

Complex Multi-Year Litigation: Assisted with the defense in a complex Corporate Fraud and Criminal case, managing over 55 insolvency claims, restricting debt payments, and coordinating with co-counsel across multiple Indian states. Handled criminal proceedings against company owners for defaulting on hundreds of non-banking financial investors, including attending bail hearings and post-arrest client consultations.

Civil & Consumer Litigation: Successfully represented clients in consumer court, including a case against a travel agent for mishandled business class tickets—handling pleadings, discovery, case presentation, and enforcement.

Business Formation & Advisory: Assisted a boutique wood crafting partnership business with drafting partnership agreements and other business formation activities on a pro-bono basis, demonstrating commitment to supporting emerging Indian enterprises.

Indian Immigration: Aashay is self taught in matters of Indian Immigration Law, and has gained knowledge in this subject area through personal immigration experiences, and having successfully completed multiple applications involving OCI/PIO Status, Nationality/Passport Surrender Certificates, e-Visas, Medical Visas, Tourist Visas, Cultural Exchange Visas and Spousal Application Categories.
